Atom LL wolves showed off their stuff this weekend in two fantastic games!!
Saturdays game was a strong effort from all players against a determined Honeywood team. The wolves played hard with lots of passing, great positional play and a strong netminder between the pipes. The wolves came out on top winning 5-0.
Sunday was a very exciting back and forth game. Tied 3-3 going into the 3rd period it seemed that maybe how the game would end but with a couple of shorthanded goals and spectacular saves the wolves pulled off the victory 6-4.
The bench staff would like to congratulate ROBERT HARRIS on being player of the game Saturday and MARSHALL BERTOLO on being player of the game Sunday. Robert worked hard and earned his 1st shutout of the season. He was a force to be reckoned with and held strong until the very end never losing focus. Marshall worked hard from his 1st shift of the game to his last. He had some great end to end plays and found the back of the net. Way to go ROBERT and MARSHALL on an outstanding effort!
Honorable mentions for Saturday were Emily Moylan for holding the blue line and keeping the puck in the offensive zone, Hayden Brown for anincredible hustle all game and our AP Lachlan Alexander. Lachlan played an amazing game and didn't back down from the much bigger honeywood players.
Honorable mentions for Sunday were Hunter Lester for getting another hattrick, Evan Hofstede for holding strong on the blue line and finding the back of the net twice, and netminder Lucas Carson-Pedri for some great moves between the pipes.
