AE Programming for the 2019/2020 Season
Submitted By Andrea Carson-Pedri on Tuesday, June 4, 2019
SMHA will be expanding our AE (Additional Entry) programming for the 2019/2020 season with the possibility of having an AE team at each age group Atom-Midget.
By offering AE programming at these levels our goal is to give more players an opportunity to participate at rep level hockey with the main focus on development.

To allow for the possibility of AE teams in all divisions the SMHA executive have established criteria that must be met and includes the following:

·         There are sufficient numbers to ice both a rep and an AE team (ie enough players attend tryouts)

·         Caliber of players must be at a skill level the evaluation committee feels can be competitive

·         If the above criteria is not met an AE team will not be offered in that division for the season. However, players not offered a position on the rep team will be offered placement in local league programming.

PLEASE NOTE: For players to be eligible for AE tryouts they MUST attend the Rep tryouts for that division. Tryouts for any AE team always occurs after Rep tryouts.
