Submitted By SMHA on Sunday, January 14, 2018
SMHA would like to take this opportunity to wish our 6 Representative teams the best of luck in the First Round of OMHA ‘CC’ Playdowns.  Our SMHA Rep teams concluded their 20 game regular season this past weekend and are now looking towards the first round of the OMHA Playdowns.

Novice Rep:

-        Will receive a bye in the 1st round of CC Playdowns and face the winner of the series between Wasaga Beach vs Georgian Shores in the 2nd round of OMHA’s

-        The Wolves finished 6th in the A Group in the Regular Season, with Wasaga Beach finishing 7th in the A Group while Georgian Shores finished 4th in the B Group.

-        The Wolves went 1-1-0 vs Wasaga Beach and 2-0-0 against Georgian Shores.  Coach Greer will make sure his Wolves are ready coming out of the 1st round bye.

-        The Wolves finished 3rd in the B Group during the regular season, while the Stars finished 5th in the A Group this season.

-        These 2 teams did not play each other in the Regular Season but a tough series awaits Coaches Richardson, Davison and our Wolves.

Atom AE:

-        Best of luck to Coaches Reed, Hare and our Wolves in the first round!

Peewee Rep:

-        Will face-off against the Oro Thunder in a series in the 1st round of CC Playdowns.  The winner is set to face Wasaga Beach in round 2.

-        The Wolves finished 2nd in the B Group during the regular season, while the Thunder finished 7th in the A Group.

Bantam Rep:

-        Will play the Wasaga Beach Stars in the 1st round of CC Playdowns.

-        The Wolves finished 2nd in the B Group during the regular season, while the Stars finished 4th in the A Group.

-        These 2 teams faced off twice in the Regular Season with Wasaga Beach taking both games (5-1 and 4-3 early in the season) so Coach Fernandes’ Wolves will be looking for some payback in this series.
