SMHA’s annual Allan Nixon Memorial Tyke
Tournament is fast approaching and this year our goal is to make it the most
successful yet! But we need the help of our wolf pack to make that happen! This event is run to be an amazingly fun day for some of our littlest wolves and their families in memory of a man who gave so much to this community and SMHA. Any money raised at the tournament is donated to Kids Sport, a charity that gives kids in our community the opportunity to play sports that otherwise wouldn’t be able to. This year we want to do all we can to make this tournament an absolute success to hopefully exceed all other years in our donation achievements.
What can you do to help us reach that goal? There’s a variety of things you can do to help! Bake something for the bake sale, donate a prize for the raffle, make a batch of chili for the kitchen to sell, or even come the day of and volunteer your time to help run a station. Many hands make light work and any help you can give is greatly appreciated. It may also be a great opportunity for high school kids to get some volunteer hours.
It really is a day filled with so much fun. Watching hockey in its purest form and seeing the smiles on those kids faces are why we want to do all we can to give every kid the opportunity to experience all the wonderful things playing organized sports can give.
