2017-2018 SMHA Coach Applications
Submitted By Shelburne Minor Hockey on Wednesday, March 15, 2017
*** Calling ALL Coaches!  Shelburne Minor Hockey Association is currently accepting coaching applications for the 2017-2018 hockey season ***

If you are looking for a great coaching opportunity and love to work with dedicated young hockey players at the Rep or Local League levels, this is your chance.  Shelburne Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) are members in good standing with Hockey Canada, the OMHA, the Georgian Bay Minor Hockey League (GBMHL) and the Georgian Bay Triangle Local League (GBTLL).  With the 2016-17 hockey season now winding down, it is time to shift our focus and to continue building on the success of our Association with the commencement of the coach application, recruitment and selection process for the 2017-2018 season.

Shelburne Minor Hockey has a history of building competitive teams all while fostering an environment of learning, team-building, fun and hockey skills development.  We are built around a strong local community, enthusiastic players and supportive families.  However, the largest and most important contributor is the role played by our coaches as they are the key to creating and providing the hockey experience so treasured by our players and families.

This year, Shelburne Minor Hockey will again utilize a Coach Selection Committee made up of SMHA Board Members as well as outside evaluators/interviewers.  The committee's primary responsibility is finding and recommending the coaching candidates for our Head Coaching positions for the 2017-2018 hockey season.

YOUR assistance in these recruitment efforts is also requested. As someone with a vested interest in the success of our organization you are encouraged to get involved. If you aware of a potential coaching candidate that you feel could be a valuable asset to our Association please encourage them to apply or simply pass on their name to any member of our SMHA Executive Team.

The 2017-18 SMHA Coach Application can be found in the "Online Libraries" section of our SMHA Home Page or by clicking on the link below.  For more information or to submit your application, please contact SMHA President Jonathan Geiring at [email protected].

Thank you to all coaching candidates for submitting your application and showing interest in helping the young players of Shelburne Minor Hockey.
