The
SMHA is pleased to announce that we have entered a float in to the
2016 Shelburne
Santa Claus Parade! Our SMHA float will be decorated with Christmas
lights, SMHA banners and an inflatable snowman! All players will be
encouraged to sing along as we play Christmas music throughout the
parade.
When: Saturday December 3rd
Time: Parade starts at 5pm (players/coaches/parents to be there at 4:15)
Where: Hyland Heights Elementary School (parking lot)
What to Bring: Nothing but your favorite Christmas/Holiday hats and we'll take care of the rest!
Note: While ALL SMHA players, coaches and parents are welcome to join us, the float/trailer will be reserved for our Mite & Tyke aged players to ride on (they will have bundles of straw to sit on). Older players can put on their game jerseys, walk along with us and pass out candy canes!
To show our support, our SMHA players will be wearing a combination of our Wolves jerseys (home/away) and some of our Mite/Tykes will be wearing their Timbits jerseys. (Please ensure your little Wolves are dressed warm: snowpants, tuques/Christmas hats, gloves, etc…)
Any coaches/parents able to walk along beside the float are welcome to join too! We will need some parents to ensure the kids are safe (walk beside the trailer/float), pass out candy canes and hand out flyers for our upcoming Canadian Tire First Shift Program (more on this great initiative to come in the next week).
