our recent request for additional volunteers to fill several remaining board vacancies,
I am very pleased to inform you that:Jonathan Geiring has accepted the position of President, SMHA. Jonathan is a senior corporate executive, has coached a number of years in minor sports and with SMHA and also brings his experience of playing hockey at the AAA, Jr.A and NCAA competitive levels.
Dean Baird has accepted the position of Vice President, SMHA. Dean is well known by many, a professional architect by trade, has spent many years volunteering for various team positions in a variety of local minor sports and is a graduate of the Shelburne Minor Hockey System. After finishing minor hockey with SMHA, Dean went on to play for our Shelburne Muskie's Sr. A hockey club.
Lora Stone McComb has accepted the position of Secretary, SMHA. Lora is new to our association and brings with her 3 new SMHA players! A former executive member with the Grand Valley MHA, Lora's background in project management, organizational skills and prior board experience will be a welcomed addition to our current group of stellar and committed volunteers!
Please join me in welcoming these newest board members to the SMHA! Each will fulfill named responsibilities for the balance of this hockey season with regular general election procedures following next spring.
