SMHA Goalie Clinic
Submitted By Andrea Carson-Pedri on Sat 09 03, 16
In addition to the upcoming SMHA Rep tryouts(posted on the SMHA schedule), the SMHA understands the importance of focusing on our goalies.

SMHA is pleased to add a specialized “goalie clinic” to help prepare our local net minders for the upcoming season.  The session is open to any SMHA registered goalie, it comes at no cost and will run for 1 hour and 20 minutes.  Any goalies wishing to tryout for a representative team are still expected to attend tryouts of the respective age group.

Goalies will be divided into groups based on age and skill level and will face shooters of the same age group for designated “shooting” drills.  Additional drills will focus on: skating, stance, positioning, save selection, rebound control and recovery, all in a structured, challenging and fun environment.

Pending attendance/participation, the SMHA would like to move forward with monthly clinics for the remainder of the season.
Interested goalies should confirm attendance by no later than Thursday September 8th at 5pm to Rudy Pedri – [email protected] or Jonathan Geiring [email protected]

Location:  Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex (CDRC)
Date: Saturday September 10th
Time:  10:00am – 11:20am
Instructors:  Will include local SMHA coaches and be lead by Rudy Pedri
