REP TRY-OUTS AND LOCAL LEAGUE EQUALIZATION

We’ll be on the ice early again this year starting the week of September 8th with rep try-outs commencing the weekend of the 12th and 13th. Tryout fees and schedule will be posted in early September. Please be advised that selected rep players will be required to pay an additional $150.00 – these monies will be used to schedule a minimum of 10 extra on-ice practice sessions the beginning of the year. Local League Equalization will be posted following Rep try-outs.

POWER SKATING/SKILL DEVELOPMENT

We will be offering power-skating/skill development again this year. Our Coach in Chief, Don McCarthy will be hosting our sessions. Don has taught powerskating/skill development to numerous players who have gone on to play at the University level and in the OHL. Sessions will take place the week of September 8th prior to the Rep try-outs. Fees and schedule will be posted in early September.

DRIVE A FORD EVENT

Our season will open this year with a Drive a Ford Event fundraiser on September 19th. For each participating licensed driver, Ford will donate $20 each to SMHA! We’ll want as many of you and your friends/family out as possible! Other centres such as Dundalk and Honeywood have hosted this event before and raised in excess of $8000.00 for their hockey associations!

More information will follow about these and other topics.

ENJOY YOUR SUMMER!
