Game Summary: Our 1st game of a Home & Home series against the Eagles. The coaching staff got a chance to go out to a game last week and scout the Essa vs Collingwood AE3 playoff game and as a result we were able to prepare a game plan tailored to Essa. Our boys did a good job of sticking to that game plan today: force the D on the fore-check, take the boards away and be aggressive in the offensive zone to create turnovers. While we only managed 9 shots on net, we created multiple scoring chances and several shots missed the net. Cole did a great job being there when we needed him, making the first save and our D and Centers did a good job on clearing the rebounds to the dead areas and getting in the shooting lanes to block shots. We did get into some penalty trouble in the 3rd period (3 minor penalties in the 3rd period alone) but the boys fought through it and I am very pleased with the end result. We now turn our focus to Thursday's game against the Eagles at the CDRC. Go Wolves !!!
