Weekend Update
What a crazy weekend!!!
Starting off with a crazy game on Saturday. The players showed up at Stayner to play and it showed as at the end of the 2nd period it was tied 2-2. However, with some calls that didn't quite go our way leading us to play short handed a few shifts in the 3rd we just couldn't put the puck in the net. It was a hard fought battle even though we didn't come out on top.
Sunday was a different story! The team came out firing from all ends right from puck drop. It was amazing to see the team passing and working hard to get everyone in on the score sheet. Excellent display of teamwork and comradery.
The bench staff would like to congratulate EVAN HOFSTEDE on being player of the game Saturday and BROOKE CUNNINGTON on being player of the game Sunday. Evan cashed in on a goal and was solid back on defence during the hard fought battle against Stayner. Brooke scored the 1st goal of her hockey career Sunday and was working hard on every shift both on forward and defence. Way to go Evan and Brooke excellent effort!
Honorable mentions for Saturday were Robbie Harris with a strong effort, Hunter Lester for 1 goal and an impressive effort at both ends of the ice, and Marshall Bertolo for taking a beating but never giving up.
Sunday's honourable mentions are Tristan Park for working hard both on forward and defence, Hudson O'Brien who was always in the right place to get a shot on net and Lucas Carson-Pedri for staying focused and getting his 1st shut out of the season.
