7 SMHA Teams Off to the Finals
Shelburne Minor Hockey would like to take this opportunity and congratulate our teams that have advanced to the Championship Finals and Consolation Finals of the GBMHL/GBTLL playoffs.  Of the 14 SMHA teams that participated in League Round Robin Playoffs, 7 of them have advanced to the Finals/Consolation Finals.

Novice Rep:
After a 17-3-0 and 1st place finish in the GBMHL Group B Regular Season, Coach Reed’s Wolves followed that up with a 2nd place finish in the Round Robin portion of the GBMHL playoffs.   The Wolves will advance to the Pool B Championship Finals where they will face the #1 ranked Georgian Shores Lightning.  The Wolves and Lightning each came away with 1 win versus each other in the Round Robin so a very exciting Final Series awaits.

Novice LL:
After a 5th place finish in the very tough West Division of the GBTLL Regular Season, first year SMHA coaches Davison & Richardson lead their very young Novice LL team to a birth in the GBTLL Pool B Consolation Finals after a solid showing in the Round Robin portion of the playoffs.  The Wolves will face the Essa Eagles in what promises to be an exciting series after going 1-1-0 vs the Eagles in Round Robin play, while narrowly outscoring them 5-3 over those 2 games.

Peewee Rep:
A 15-2-3 record in the GBMHL Group B Regular Season saw Coach Cunnington's Wolves outscore the opposition 124-29.  A successful 2nd place finish in the Regular Season was followed up with a 4-1-1 record in the GBMHL Round Robin Playoffs, earning them a 2nd place finish in Pool B  and a date with the 5-1-0 Wasaga Beach Stars in the Championship Finals.  The Wolves will be looking for revenge against the Stars in the Finals as Wasaga Beach handed the Wolves their only loss in the Round Robin Playoffs.

Bantam Rep:
After a 12-6-2 and 3rd place finish in the GBMHL Group B Regular Season, Coach Hunter’s Wolves followed that up with a sold 4th place finish in the very tough 6 team GBMHL Round Robin Playoffs.  The Bantam Rep Wolves will be squaring off with the Creemore Valley Hawks in the GBMHL Pool B Consolation Finals.  The Wolves went a combined 2-1-1 against the Hawks in Regular Season and Playoff action so a close series is expected.

Bantam LL1:
A 13-5-2 record in the GBTLL Regular Season saw Coach Fernandes’ squad finish 5th out of 13 teams.  A successful Regular Season was followed up with a birth in the GBTLL Pool A Consolation Final.  The Wolves will square off against a tough squad from Georgian Shores in what promises to be an exciting series.  These 2 teams have squared off 4 times this year with the Wolves going 1-2-1 but only getting outscored by the Lightning 4-7 in those 4 contests.

Bantam LL2:
The Bantam LL2 Wolves were not affected by an 8th place finish (out of 13 teams) in the Regular Season and Coaches Montgomery & DeLaat had their team firing on all cylinders heading into the GBTLL Pool B Round Robin.  Hitting their stride at the right time, the Wolves finished in 1st place in their pool with a 6-0-2 record and earning themselves a date with the Dundalk Storm in the Pool B Championship Final.  The Wolves have gone 3-0-0 against the Storm after 3 Regular Season/Playoff games, outscoring the Storm 9-1 in the process.

Midget LL2:
A strong regular season saw Coach DeLaat’s squad finishing in 2nd place at the end of the GBTLL Regular Season with a 14-4-2 record.  Another strong showing in the Round Robin Playoffs will see our Midget LL2 wolves battle the Oro Thunder 2 in the Pool A Consolation Final.  These 2 teams battled 4 times in the Regular Season & Playoffs with Shelburne going 2-1-1 over that 4 game span but being outscored 14-16.  A great matchup is now in store between the Wolves 2 and Thunder 2.

Good Luck to all SMHA teams in their respective Championship/Consolation Finals as well as to all SMHA teams heading into “end of year” tournaments at the end of March!
Go Wolves Go!
